The Enneagram describes the energy that drives the personality, called the passion or the vice, and the gifts of our type, called the virtue. In this class we will delve into the core energetics of the type, gaining embodied understanding of these aspects of our experience.

The passion is like the invisible knot that keeps the pattern of the type structure secured.  Developing the ability to be present with the energy of it, it converts, and the whole structure of the type begins to loosen, making us available to the loving qualities of being, the virtues.  As we work with our type in this way, we find ourselves living in a state of delight, curiosity and kindness more each day.

In this class we will explore the passion and the virtue from a three-centered approach (body, heart and mind).  We will practice accessing the energy of the passion as the invitation to expose the qualities of the virtues that are inherent in our very depths. Under every experience you want to get rid of, there is the Ground of Being (Awareness, God, Spirit or whatever name works for you).  The energy of our type becomes the very fuel for our deeper awakening to what has always been there ”“ the Essential Self.
