SUMMARY:The Instincts and Subtypes: Enriching Your Understanding of the Enneagram
DESCRIPTION:This class has been cancelled.\nThe Enneagram is often described as a roadmap to awareness\, a path of freedom out of the box of our personality structure.  The three instincts then could be considered the driver\, the underlying\, often unconscious motivations that shape who we are.  Understanding these instincts: self-preservation\, social\, or 1:1/sexual and how to identify and understand your dominant instinctual subtype\, is the key to deepening your understanding of your truest self.   \n  \nThis four-hour workshop will draw on the perspectives of master teachers in the field of Instincts and Subtypes to provide clarity around the following questions:  \n\n\nWhere you are investing your emotional energy and attention?\nWhich of these instincts tends to go into overdrive while another seems nonexistent? \nHow do you work with these instincts\, once you are aware of them? \n\nThis workshop is best for those with previous experience with the Enneagram and working with their own type.    \n  \nThere will be three small follow up groups to explore the subtype variants of each of the Enneagram viewpoints in depth.  We will explore the self-preservation\, social\, and 1:1/sexual subtype of each type by center as follows:  \nHead Types (5\, 6\, 7):  June 15th \nHeart Types (2\, 3\, 4):  June 22nd \nBody Types (8\, 9\, 1):  June 29th \nAll of the groups will be held from 7:00 – 8:00 pm in Denver (address provided with registration).  There will be a limit of 10 people for the groups.   \n  \nCost: \nWorkshop only – $75 ($65 early bird before May 24) \nWorkshop plus 3 groups: $120. ($110 early bird before May 24)

DESCRIPTION:This class will now be a Zoom offering.\nwith Margot Burns and Mary Ellen Arthur\nThe Enneagram provides a map to help you navigate toward greater psychological and spiritual health by describing the instincts that drive you and the habitual patterns that keep you blocked.  It is wisdom that leads to an expanded and evolved YOU.  When you are AWARE of your reactions and habits\, and take personal ownership of them\, you are on the path to transforming every relationship in your life\, starting with yourself.  This workshop will focus on: \n  \n\nTaking an honest look at your actions and reactions – how in alignment are they with your core values?\nDiscovering how your Enneagram type structure helps you – and keeps you – from having accountability in your relationships\nUsing your awareness for transformation\n\nMargot Burns and Mary Ellen Arthur are certified Enneagram teachers and will co-lead this four-hour workshop in the Narrative Tradition\, which brings the Enneagram to life through interview and inquiry of the nine Enneagram types.
